Pamela Hunt has directed fifteen plays and nine musicals for the Cape Playhouse. Favorite plays are “As Bees In Honey Drown”, “Communicating Doors” – Rue McClanahan, “Moon Over Buffalo”- Gavin Macleod, Millicent Martin and Jane Connell, the premiere of “Don’t Dress For Dinner”, “Mass Appeal”- Malachy McCourt, “The Graduate”, “Born Yesterday”. Favorite musicals “Putting It Together”, “A Funny Thing Happened On The Way To The Forum”, “Radio Gals”-Dody Goodman, and “Grey Gardens”. Pamela was nominated for the 2004 Drama Desk award for outstanding direction of a musical for “The Musical of Musicals” which played two years at the York Theatre and Dodger Spaces. She also received the Kevin Kline award for this show at the Repertory Theatre of St. Louis. Her production of “Carnival” won the 1993 Outer Critics Circle Award for best revival. Regional theaters include: Actors Theatre of Louisville, ACT, Alabama Shakespeare, Asolo , Cincinnati Playhouse, Cleveland Playhouse, GEVA, Laguna Playhouse, Milwaukee Rep., Ordway, Papermill Playhouse, Pioneer, The Prince, Repertory Theatre of St. Louis. Stock productions: Wesport and Ogunquit Playhouses, Sacramento CLO, TUTS Atlanta and the MUNY in St. Louis. Pamela is working on a new musical version of “The Seven Year Itch”.
