The Cape Playhouse is currently enrolling students for our 2017 Summer Acting Classes – our return to acting and theatre arts education programing at The Playhouse.
You can now enroll your children and grandchildren in one of our week-long sessions and empower them with the opportunity to learn in the same space where stars such as Shirley Booth, Bernadette Peters, Bette Davis and Henry Fonda performed! The Cape Playhouse Theatre classes offer theatrical training to students ages 5-18 in a fun, kind and nurturing environment. No prior experience, knowledge of theatre or specific skill level is required. All are welcome.
Each of our week-long programs will offer classes in acting, improvisation, Shakespeare, Broadway musical theater, singing for the actor, directing, scenic elements, script writing, and more! Additionally, your child will be afforded the opportunity to work with top Broadway professionals in an extraordinary environment.
Dates for our 2017 Summer Theatre Camps are as follows:
- June 19 – 23, 9am – 12pm Monday- Friday, Ages 5-8
- June 3 – 7, 10am-2pm Monday- Friday, Ages 9-13
- July 17 – 21, 9am – 12pm Monday- Friday, Ages 5-8
- July 31- August 4, 10am-2pm Monday- Friday, Ages 14-18
- August 14 – 18, 10am-2pm Monday- Friday, Ages 9-13
All classes are $180 and are filled on a first come, first serve basis.

A limited number of financial-based scholarships are available for those that qualify.
Director Of Education
Michelle Kazanowski, Director of Education, is a graduate of Saint Michael’s College, where she studied Theatre Arts with concentrations in Acting & Directing. She has worked with students in the performing arts through the California Shakespeare Theater Conservatory and “Theater Plus!” in Marshfield, MA. She has also directed at several public schools in Vermont and has spent the past two summers with The Cape Playhouse.
