A wide range of performers, offering a mix of full stories, comedy, magic and puppets are part of the program designed for pre-school age and older. There will be 9:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. shows each Friday from July 8 through Aug. 26, with performances lasting about an hour.
The lineup in July: July 8, Lucky Bob, a magician, juggler and comedian; July 15, “The Greatest Pirate Story Never Told,” described as “Pirates of the Caribbean” meets “Whose Line is it Anyway?”; July 22, “Cardboard Explosion!” a participatory show by Puppet Showplace Theater that involves dragons, superpowers and animal sidekicks; and July 29, SteveSongs, a show of fun and music with Steve Roslonek of “PBS Kids” shows.
August shows: “The Wizard of Oz,” by Hampstead Stage Company; Aug. 12, “Tall Tales: Stories & Songs from Old New England,” by Puppet Showplace Theater; Aug. 19, “Bubble-ology: The Secret World of Bubbles,” a mix of science and comedy with Keith Michael Johnson; and Aug. 26, Johnny Peers & the Muttville Comix, a slapstick comedy act with trained dogs.
